Coaching for vision loss — and who you are becoming
Has a diagnosis of vision loss changed how you see yourself — and what you see ahead?
Vision loss changes more than what you can see. It reshapes your sense of self, your relationships, and your relationship to the future. The medical system tells you what is happening to your eyes. It rarely helps you figure out what to do with who you are becoming.
This is coaching for that work.
Losing vision is not only a physical experience. It is an identity experience. It asks you to grieve, adapt, and — eventually — to build a relationship with a version of yourself you may not have chosen.
Whether you were recently diagnosed or have been living with low vision for years, this is a space to do the work that doesn’t happen in a doctor’s office.
This work draws on professional coaching practice and on lived experience. Mike has navigated his own progressive vision loss for over two decades and brings both to the work.
Mike provides Pre-ETS services specifically for students with visual impairments.
